Hello again, I have a nice little project that’s fairly simple but does require basic knowledge for using a sewing machine. I call this project ‘pillowscapes’ because I began making it by using my personal photos of landscapes, transferred to material, and then make it into a pillow. I love these because you can get the exact look in the photo with any photo editor software. Whether its landscapes, portraits of your family or pet-traits (that’s a portrait of your favorite four legged friend) you simply print it to the transfer photo paper. Make certain you cut out the border from the picture for a seamless transfer, I seem to forget this step, so in this case do as I say not as I do.

Follow the directions that come in the paper pack you purchased (say that three times fast) and iron it to your pre-cut fabric or what will be the front of the pillow. Let it dry, and cool off for about 20 minutes, then turn the picture so it faces toward the back piece of fabric or rear of pillow, and pin the sides. Make certain your picture looks level when you pin it so it comes out straight when you are sewing, this is why I use a cream color fabric. If you want a colorful fabric I suggest taping a piece of paper on the bottom of the picture so you know if you are pinning it straight.

Now we are ready to sew around the edges, be sure to leave a gap unsewn in one corner, I prefer a gap of about 3 inches. Turn your pillow inside out so the picture is facing you. We are ready to stuff; take a fist full of cotton and stuff into the pillow, continue until it is as nice and fluffy as you like. Finally, take a threaded needle, and sew up the small gap. All that’s left is to enjoy a nap on your nice new pillow.
